BLANCO RIVER RESTORATION
Project Description
coLAB was contracted by The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center's Ecosystem Design Group to provide illustrative support and schematic design services for a large residential site along the banks of the Blanco River.
coLAB rendered axons to illustrate successful bank stabilization, bioswales for transporting stormwater, woodland preservation, and landscape restoration. Keynote plant species utilize deep root systems to maintain soil health. The root diagrams were created to illustrate the extensive root systems that are critical for soil stabilization. EDG proposes preserving woodlands after eradicating invasives. These typically sterile roadside will once again serve as vital habitats for native flora and fauna.
