The University of Texas at El Paso Project Description -
As The University of Texas at El Paso approaches the celebration of 100 years of service to the Paso del Norte region, we have begun to implement a new phase in the recent expansion of our campus facilities. Designed by Ten Eyck, this aesthetically pleasing outdoor campus transformation project will use pedestrian walkways and green spaces to knit together campus buildings, creating a climate consistent with UTEP's development as a national research (Tier One) university with a 21st century student demographic.
UTEP's rich heritage, location on the U.S. - Mexico border, attractive geological features and Chihuahuan Desert landscape provide a unique campus setting. Together with the unifying Bhutanese architectural style of our buildings, they offer us an opportunity to transform the campus into a national model of campus design which will greatly enrich our quality of life. Comfortable and pleasing to the eye, the campus transformation will increase pride in the University and reinforce our collective commitment to excellence.
