TEXAS BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE

Project Description

Work completed while employed with Ten Eyck Landscape Architects.

As project manager during the documentation and construction phases of this project, Adam managed the production and implementation of the  landscape and hardscape features.  The site design utilizes a large vegetated swale to capture stormwater runoff from the immediate site as well as the rainwater overflow from a 20,000 gallon below-grade cistern.  The north 10 acres of this 17 acre site receives the first-flush stormwater from the adjacent big box retail.  The native Texas meadow restoration was graded allow the harmful particulates and suspended sediment to be captured before leaving the site where the flow joins a small contributory stream of the San Antonio River.
